San Pietro a Mare is located about two kilo meters from Valledoria, in the northern part of Sardinia in the center of the Gulf of Asinara. The beach of San Pietro is a very long and wide expanse of soft and golden sand, which starts in the west from La Ciaccia and reaches in the east up to the mouth of the Coghinas river, passing next to the church and the village of San Pietro a mare, about two kilometers from the center of Valledoria. The beach is surrounded by dunes covered with Mediterranean scrub and plunges into a crystalline and clear sea, with shades of emerald green and blue, with a seabed that quickly becomes deep, ideal for snorkeling and scuba diving. It is one of the stretches of the Gulf of Asinara preferred by water sports enthusiasts, especially surfers who come here from all over Europe.
