Fontanamare

The beach of Funtanamare, in the South-West part of the Island, in the Marina di Gonnesa, is a stretch of sand about three kilo meters long. It is one of the largest, most spectacular and best equipped coasts of Sulcis and Iglesiente. The bay is framed by the Sulcis reliefs, close to which we find a luxuriant pine forest. The sand is fine with shades between golden and pink, the sea with colors ranging from emerald green to blue, the seabed with immediately high water is sandy for a long stretch, then pebbly. without shelter, exposed to winds and currents, not suitable for children, it is a year-round paradise for windsurfing and kite surfing enthusiasts.
