The Mega Express Three was built in 2001 at the Samsung Heavy Industries Co. Ltd. shipyard in South Korea for the Greek shipping company Minoan Lines. Launched under the name Oceanus along with her sister ships Prometheus and Ariadne Palace, she was purchased in 2003 by Corsica Ferries - Sardinia Ferries, which renamed her to her current name.
Adapted to the style of the new company at the Nuovi Cantieri Apuania shipyards in Marina di Carrara, she underwent a major renovation that involved the transformation of two decks dedicated to car parking into passenger decks, greatly increasing the number of cabins available. A self-service restaurant and a second armchair lounge were also built.
